Short stories and poems can range from just a couple of short sentences to a couple of hundred words. What is brilliant is the way in which a whole story or idea can be portrayed in just a few simple words and lines. A love story or a horror story or anything in between can be portrayed in a few short lines and can really leave the reader imagining what happens, or has happened, and reading in between the lines for themselves.
